Seoul, November 28, 2025 – Samsung Electronics has launched a new range of home appliances focused on sustainability and energy efficiency, aiming to meet growing consumer demand for eco-conscious household products while cutting daily energy consumption for users.

The new product line covers refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners and small kitchen appliances, all equipped with Samsung’s upgraded Eco-Smart Core technology. The refrigerators feature a dual-inverter compressor that slashes energy use by up to 35% compared to standard models, with enhanced insulation that keeps internal temperatures stable and reduces frequent cooling cycles. The front-loading washing machines come with a low-water circulation system, using 20% less water per cycle, and a quick-dry mode that shortens drying time by combining air flow and low-temperature heating, avoiding excessive energy waste.

For air conditioners, the new inverter units adopt a high-efficiency heat exchange coil design, which not only boosts cooling and heating speed by 15% but also lowers standby power consumption to less than 0.5 watts—far below the industry average. Samsung has also used recycled materials in the production of these appliances: over 40% of the plastic parts in the washing machines and refrigerators are made from post-consumer recycled plastic, and the product packaging is fully recyclable, eliminating single-use plastic fillers.

Jung Hyun-jin, head of Samsung’s Home Appliance Division, stated that sustainability is no longer an optional feature but a core demand for modern consumers. “Our new eco-friendly line balances energy efficiency, performance and practicality, allowing users to reduce their carbon footprint without compromising on the convenience and functionality of their home appliances,” he said.

Preliminary sales data from Samsung’s regional markets shows strong early demand for the new range, with pre-orders in Europe and Asia Pacific up by over 50% compared to the brand’s regular appliance lines in the same period. Industry analysts note that the launch aligns with global energy-saving policies and the rising trend of green consumption, which is expected to drive Samsung’s market share in the mid-to-high-end home appliance segment.
