Berlin — Hisense, a global consumer electronics and home appliances leader, announced it has claimed the top spot in the global large-screen TV market (65 inches and above) in H1 2025, with a market share of 18.3%, according to Omdia data. The company also previewed its next-generation RGB-MiniLED technology, set to redefine premium TV performance.
Hisense’s success stems from its focus on cutting-edge display tech and user-centric innovation. Its current ULED X series, featuring proprietary MiniLED backlighting and 16-bit light control, delivers 5,000+ nits peak brightness and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, creating vivid visuals with deep blacks and vibrant colors. The series has seen strong sales in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific, particularly the 75-inch and 85-inch models, which cater to the growing demand for immersive home entertainment.
The upcoming RGB-MiniLED technology represents a major leap forward. Unlike traditional MiniLED TVs that use white LEDs with color filters, Hisense’s RGB-MiniLED employs red, green and blue micro-LEDs directly, eliminating light leakage and color distortion. This results in a wider color gamut (110% of BT.2020), higher color accuracy and improved energy efficiency. The first RGB-MiniLED TVs are expected to launch in Q1 2026, targeting premium consumers and home theater enthusiasts.
“Our leadership in the large-screen TV market is a testament to our commitment to innovation and quality,” said Wang Kai, President of Hisense Visual Technology. “With RGB-MiniLED, we aim to set a new standard for TV display, offering consumers an unparalleled viewing experience.”
In addition to display tech, Hisense has integrated smart features into its TVs, including AI-powered upscaling, voice control and seamless connectivity with other smart home devices via the Hisense Connect platform. These features enhance user convenience and position Hisense as a key player in the smart home ecosystem.
Hisense plans to showcase its RGB-MiniLED prototypes and latest TV lineup at major global tech events in the coming months, reinforcing its position as an industry innovator.
