BERLIN — Hisense has secured the top spot in the global large-screen TV market (65-inch and above) in the first half of 2025, with a 28.3% market share, according to Omdia data, outpacing Samsung and LG Electronics. The Chinese tech giant’s rise is fueled by its next-generation RGB-MiniLED technology, which delivers superior picture quality, energy efficiency and design flexibility, solidifying its position as an innovation leader ahead of IFA 2025 in Berlin.
Hisense’s RGB-MiniLED TVs use a backlighting system with over 5,000 micro-LEDs and a peak brightness of 2,500 nits, creating deeper blacks and more vibrant colors than traditional LCD models. The technology also reduces power consumption by up to 30% compared to conventional LED TVs, aligning with global demand for eco-friendly electronics. The company’s ULED X series, featuring RGB-MiniLED panels, has seen strong sales in North America, Europe and Asia, with the 75-inch and 85-inch models becoming bestsellers in key markets.
Beyond hardware, Hisense is integrating AI and smart home capabilities into its TVs. The latest models come with the Hisense Smart OS, which supports voice control, personalized content recommendations and seamless connectivity with other smart home devices via the Hisense Connect app. The TVs also include a built-in camera for video calls and gesture control, enhancing user interaction and convenience.
“Our focus on RGB-MiniLED technology has allowed us to redefine the large-screen TV experience, offering consumers a perfect blend of performance, efficiency and smart features,” said Wang Wei, president of Hisense International. “As we continue to innovate, we aim to maintain our market leadership and drive the industry forward with cutting-edge solutions that meet evolving consumer needs.”
