Samsung Electronics has expanded its "home appliance remote diagnosis" service, which analyzes the condition of customers’ home appliances using AI, to over 120 countries globally.

The core of this service is to analyze the condition of customers’ home appliances using AI. Based on this, consultants provide diagnosis at the level of professional engineers. It first started in Korea in 2020 and had been piloted in 10 English - speaking countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, and France until last year.

This year, Samsung Electronics has expanded the service support languages to a total of 17 languages including Spanish, Portuguese, and Arabic, increasing service support to over 120 countries.

Users can receive professional diagnosis without having to explain the abnormal condition of the product. They can solve problems without on - site service, saving time and cost. Even when on - site service is needed, it is more efficient as engineers can review detailed product data in advance.

Products with screens such as Family Hub refrigerators with 32 - inch screens, refrigerators with AI Home touchscreen, and washing machines can also receive remote diagnosis through screen sharing.

Yu Mi - young, vice president of Samsung Electronics’ DA Business Division, said, “We will continue to solidify the formula ‘AI home appliances = Samsung’ and increase customer satisfaction with differentiated products and services applying AI.”
